Geography Intent

At Oakley Vale Primary, we aim for a high quality geography curriculum which should inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. To ensure this, we have designed and implemented a curriculum in collaboration with the National Curriculum and the Geographical Association. 

By the end of a child’s journey at Oakley Vale, they will have experienced a broad range of activities, thus acquiring a curiosity and fascination about our ever-changing world and its people. We want children to enjoy and love learning about geography by gaining knowledge about the world and their place in it, as well as encouraging a passion about the future of our planet and the changes we can make.
